5 Insider Beauty Secrets Other Women Don’t Want You To Know! (Part 1)

Imagine what you would do if you knew miracle working
beauty secrets. And if you had the self confidence that comes
with being beautiful.

Now before you laugh and say
you’ll never be beautiful, listen up.

I know
where you’re coming from! At one time I didn’t know any beauty
secrets. Before I learned any beauty secrets I was plain, even
bordering on ugly.

I had acne, chapped lips, weight
issues, wardrobe disasters, and not so white teeth. But thats
all become past with the 5 beauty secrets that have changed my
life.

But I pulled through them all and learned some
valuable beauty secrets as a result.

Now people are
always commenting to me on my beauty. Saying I should be a
model, etc…. And guys are no longer even an issue! I don’t
have to look for them, they come to me.

It turns
out the best beauty secrets are those that are won by personal
knowledge and experience. Not just by reading general tips in
magazines.

So by experimentation over the years and by
perseverance, I’ve found out what really works and what
doesn’t.

Beauty Secret 1

Unchap/beautify your lips with this trick.

For
soft, beautifully kissable lips, you need the
following: a washcloth (I’m not kidding either), warm water, and
your favorite brand of lip balm.

First you apply a coat
of lip balm. Then wet one corner of the washcloth, put the warm
wet corner of the washcloth between your lips, press them
together and hold for 5 seconds.

Then gently massage
any remaining lip balm from lips with the wet corner of
washcloth, and dry lips with a corner thats dry.

Apply
lip balm again to keep your lips chap free. You may also apply
lipstick or lip gloss on over the layer of lip balm.

I
learned this was the best way to keep lips from chapping, after
going through too many winters with dried, and chapped lips.

Beauty Secret 2

Clear your acne, and get
beautiful skin.

For clear glowing skin, a little
home remedy does wonders for my complexion, as it should with
yours too.

Steam your face for 20 minutes every night
after washing it, then every other night after steaming your
face, massage a half teaspoon castor oil over face.

Leave it on at night while you sleep and wash off
immediately upon waking. Steam face for twenty more
minutes in the morning after washing. When you finish steaming
your face splash your face with cool water and dry it.

If your skin starts to show any signs of a pimple forming. Take
one night off from steaming and applying castor oil and apply
Benzoyl Peroxide over face.

Take the next night off
also from the steaming, castor oil, and benzoyl peroxide.
Continue facial regimen with steaming and castor oil the
following night.

This beauty secret will moisturize
your face at the same time it will help clear up acne and
pimples. But only if you work at it consistently.

Beauty Secret 3

Good taste in clothes.

When shopping for clothes try to stay away from really
big prints, or weird mixes of colors (eg. green, pink and blue
flowers combined on a white background, for instance).

Clothes like these just scream “I’m color blind!” And if
you in fact, actually are color blind, always shop with a friend
who isn’t and has good taste in clothes.

Buy basic
colors. Solid reds, pinks, blues, whites, and blacks. Or things
with small tasteful prints and designs.

Then mix and
match each basic color with a corresponding one (blue goes well
with white, pink, and sometimes with red, and different shades
of the same color almost always go well together).

Put
these beauty secrets to use, and start seeing the benefits
today. Be sure to read Part 2 of this article, which contains
the last 2 beauty secrets.

In Part 2 I’ll teach you the
beauty secrets for whitening your smile without draining your
bank account. And how to use clothes to your advantage by hiding
figure flaws and defects.

Microderma-what? Skin Resurfacing For the Beauty Novice

If you’ve ever seen the Sex & the City episode during which Samantha Jones wears a widow-like veil for days to hide her red, oozing and swollen facial skin after her chemical peel, you’ve likely been scared away from doing any skin resurfacing treatments. However, there are many non-invasive alternatives to skin resurfacing that don’t make you hide in the shadows for days or weeks just to look a few years younger or get rid of a minor skin problem. Treatments like microdermabrasion, FotoFacial skin rejuvenation, Skin Tightening and Affrim are all non-invasive options to help you look your best.

Microdermabrasion
Microdermabrasion is a simple alternative to more invasive options like chemical peels. Microdermabrasion is very comfortable procedure and requires no anesthetic. The procedure also has no downtime so it can even be done on your lunch hour. Most patients we treat will receive a series of treatments so over time, the most visible effects are seen.

To the beauty novice, microdermabrasion may sound more like something you’d find inside your computer than something you’d get done to your face. Microdermabrasion is actually defined by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons as a skin-freshening technique that repairs facial skin. The aesthetic professionals that perform microdermabrasion use a device that sprays tiny crystals onto the skin and uses suction to remove the crystals and dead skin the treatment removes. The treatment is very similar to a deep exfoliation or deep facial.

The easiest way to think about microdermabrasion is to equate it to a mini (and much gentler) sandblaster for your face. Microdermabrasion is a very effective method of reducing fine lines and wrinkles, dark spots on the surface of the skin, mild acne and even the appearance of scars. Post-treatment, moisturizing the area treated is very important to help cell regeneration.

FotoFacial Skin Rejuvenation
At our laser centers, we offer microdermbrasion in combination with our FotoFacial skin rejuvenation treatment. FotoFacial skin rejuvenation produces superior results in reducing wrinkles, because it delivers energy at both the top layer of the skin as well as deeper layers all while smoothing and toning the skin. The FotoFacial treatment uses a combination of laser (light) energy and radio frequency to target discolored skin areas, pigmented lesions, as well as stimulating the creation of new collagen. We couple the laser-based FotoFacial skin rejuvenation treatment with microdermabrasion to generate additional collagen production beneath the skin surface, plumping the skin, creating a more even texture and reducing fine lines and unwanted pigmentation.

Skin Tightening
The newest capability in virtual facelifts comes in the form of a treatment called skin tightening. Skin tightening is a non-invasive procedure helps remove wrinkles, tighten the skin and improve skin laxity on the neck and face. Laser energy-based skin tightening boosts production of collagen that fills in wrinkles at the jaw line; along the brow line; and around the eyes, mouth and cheeks. It’s a much more comfortable process than injections of foreign materials like Botox or Restylane, yet generates similar results. It can make wrinkles in the forehead disappear; helping to lift the brow line as well as iron out dreaded Crow’s feet. It uses a natural method to restore young-looking skin.

Affirm
To complement the benefits of skin tightening, the Affirm treatment also helps reduce the slink flaws caused by sun damage or acne, such as age spots and scarring. Affirm uses fractional laser technology to smooth both scars and wrinkles, while evening out any uneven skin tone. Fractional laser technology treats the skin by delivering tiny pinpoints of laser light in only a fraction of the area. Healthy, untreated skin is left between the treated skin areas which help the skin heal fast and minimize downtime. This treatment helps prefect the overall appearance of the skin, leaving you with an even-toned, flawless appearance.

Skin surface repair treatments can stave off wrinkles making plastic surgery unnecessary. These types of treatments can give your skin a more youthful, fresh look but they cannot remove deep scars or prevent aging so will require maintenance treatments for a consistent glow. When choosing a treatment provider, look for someone who has before and after photos of patients they can share with you, as well as thorough training in the most up-to-date treatments in skin resurfacing before starting any new treatment regimen.

Internet Income Could be Your Second Income Working at Home

Copyright (c) 2008 Kaye Dennan

Many people today are concerned about the credit squeeze and are wondering how they can bring in some extra money without having to go away from home to earn that second income. Working from home is becoming more and more popular, and working from home on the internet has even become more of a choice for some.

The thought of having to bring in a second income can make many hard working people get goose bumps. Just the very thought of being locked away in another office or factory is not one that most people enjoy.

Planning For The Future. In tougher economic times people start thinking about the future a bit more seriously and it can become quite concerning as we see inflation taking up the prices of everyday items like petrol, basic food supplies and other everyday needs.

What is being suggested here, is to start developing a second income that can be worked from home so that you are still around the family and away from the ‘rat race’. The focus in this discussion is going to be around the opportunities that abound on the internet.

Set Up A Business On The Internet. If you set up a business on the internet it is quite possible for it to be worked as a team. The team could be any combination of two members of a family or even two friends. You may even be a parent and uni student wanting to bring in extra income.

The beauty of the internet is that, as in the case of parent/uni student, the work could be done in two different locations, or you could have two people working on the internet at home and get twice the amount of work done in half the space of time.

Organisation is the key to being a successful team at this. One job for one, and another job for the other, both with clear goals as to what they are to do to achieve the end result.

It may be that one would be a good researcher and the other would be a good marketer.

By working as a team you could most likely be putting in about 10-15 hours a week between you quite comfortably. As you build up your contacts over time those extra hours you put in could add up to bringing in quite a substantial second income.

You Don’t Need Fantastic Computer Skills To Make This Work. Basically, when working on the internet the world is your oyster!

If you are not very competent with the computer don’t let that hold you back. It really doesn’t take long to learn the basics, and you probably know someone you could ring if you had any problems anyway.

As long as you save your work as you go, most other problems can be sorted quite easily. To learn basic computer skills takes a little bit of trial and error and a little bit of patience, and sometimes even a lot of patience! Truly though, as long as you are saving your work as you go, you really will not have too many problems picking up the necessary skills to run even a small “business”.

If you need money reasonably quickly you could learn how to earn commissions from affiliate marketing and you could go to www.clickbank.com to learn how to do this. There are many other sites that promote affiliate marketing and it would be easy to find one to suit you. Online selling is a fast growing opportunity as more and more businesses are learning to see that as a strong market source.

If you have the time to build up your income, or are looking for a more passive income you could look at writing ebooks, articles or blogs for other people. This may be a skill you need to improve, but all of these are great if you like writing.

Don’t delay though, if you are looking to earn that second income and do it from the comfort of working at home, the money is there once you have learnt the skills. A second income could be yours in no time at all.

How to Make Your Products Stand Out

When it comes to marketing product, small business owners face some tough challenges. Competition is fierce. Customers are fickle and easily distracted. Amidst all the noise and clutter, how do you make your products or services stand out – especially on a limited budget?

The first thing to do is to throw away your marketing rule book. The world has changed. The tenants that worked so well in the past are fast becoming obsolete. Darwin was right: if you want to survive, you must learn to evolve.

Think about it – just twenty years ago, consumers had far fewer products and services to choose from, and plenty of time to make buying decisions. Today, consumers have a vast array of choices, but much less time to sort through them all.

So, how do you reach those impatient, overloaded customers? How do you get their attention and win them over to your products?

Rule #1: Don’t Play It Safe
In the past, the golden rule was to create safe, ordinary products and promote them through brilliant marketing campaigns.

Now, there are so many “safe” products out there and so much marketing hoopla, it’s hard to get your products noticed. Consumers need a scorecard to tell them all apart!

The fact is, most small companies are unwilling to take risks. They’re afraid that if they develop a product that’s outside the mainstream, someone won’t like it. They are afraid of appearing ridiculous or drawing criticism. Boring, they maintain, is better than drawing negative attention.

Nonsense! If you’re going to be successful, your products must be different. And when they are, it’s a given that some people won’t like them. So what? Forget about fitting in; seek out your competitive edge. In short, don’t be afraid to be remarkable.

What if – instead of creating yet another safe product – you develop one that’s truly, clearly unique? What if you followed your passions and made the product you’ve always dreamed of? Or encouraged your employees to brainstorm wildly, taking note of their ideas?

It’s time to take a walk on the wild side. That’s how you break away from the pack.

Rule #2: You Can’t Sell to Everyone
When asked who is your customer , do you answer “everyone who uses it?” This will not get you very far.

When you try to sell to everyone, you end up with watered-down, run-of-the-mill products. Instead, do what some very successful small businesses do: avoid mass marketing and identify your niche. Rather than focus on the quantity of your potential customers, focus on quality.

Don’t try to sell to everyone; do just the opposite. Instead of appealing to the masses with predictable products, attract your niche customers with remarkable products. To find your niche, ask yourself: who is your most profitable customer? If you could choose your customers, what would they look like? That’s who you should be appealing to.

And no matter what industry you are in, there is one niche that will serve you extremely well. It’s that eagle-eyed group of consumers who like being first. These buyers pounce on new and innovative products, because they enjoy being the first to own them.

It’s a fact that most consumers resist change. Adapting to something new takes work, so most people avoid it. But there are consumers who love new stuff. Some want it just because it’s different, and they want to be different. Others want it because they see the value of the product and recognize that it will give them an edge over everyone else.

The beauty of these early adopters is that they can become your sales force for you. These trendsetters influence the rest of the market. They spread what’s called an “ideavirus.” Once your product gains the acceptance of early adopters, more cautious consumers will jump on the bandwagon.

That’s the beauty of remarkable marketing: win over enough early adopters, and mainstream consumers will follow. “Very good” just isn’t good enough these days. Marketing alone isn’t the answer. The true secret to making your products stand out is creating products that do stand out.

Natural Skin Care Through Ayurveda

From time immemorial the concept of beauty is associated with the physical appearance of a person. The term generally conjures up images of a beautiful face with flawless complexion and good physique. Skin care treatments date back thousands of years. Ancient Greeks where known to indulge in the care of mind, body and soul, with the body taking preference. We are fascinated to hear about beauty baths, natural skin care and other details of those times. To maintain the god-given beauty, we have to take care of our skin. What better way than to follow the natural methods and ingredients found in nature to achieve the most sought after aspect of human existence?

During early civilization skin care transcended gender. Both men and women took care through various methods of natural skin treatment. The trend is fast approaching where people of both gender want to look good. Skin care treatment not only helps in maintaining the looks of a person but also produces a sense of well being and helps in rejuvenation of the mind. The fresher we look the more confident and replenished are we.

Skin care through natural methods is therapeutic.

A holistic approach to skin care can be achieved through Ayurveda. As the meaning of this ancient treatment lies in the `knowledge of lifeâ?? where health is a result of harmony, and illness is that of disharmony with nature, one has to strive to maintain a healthy balance between them. Known to have practiced more than 5000 years ago in India, it paves a path to acknowledge the dire need for it.

The practice of ayurveda has been passed on from generations. We can still hear our grandmother admonishing us to use natural methods to clean our face other than the chemical cakes, which we use in the name of soaps. Oil massage is still a favorite with most of us, as this makes us face the daunting tasks in this materialistic world of today. It serves as a natural `soothenerâ?? and makes our skin radiant. Skin care is still a part and parcel of oneâ??s life. Improper or negligent skin care results in premature ageing of the skin and turns it excessively dry and wrinkled. Proper diet helps in maintaining good health. With good health comes proper skin nourishment. Regular intake of honey and milk products helps in nourishing the skin.

As more and more people are turning towards fast foods, the idea of healthy food is fast diminishing. The culture with which we were bred has taken a back-stage with people vying to survive in this mechanical world. With alarming rise in global warming added efforts have to be taken to ensure a trouble-free life. Such drastic changes have an unending effect on our skin too. Many naturalists, however, have taken upon the daunting task to revive our ancient culture and tradition, which includes our health. As beauty is not only skin deep but also is produced from proper care of body, mind and soul, the need of the hour is to once again embrace the nuances of ayurveda.

The input is directly proportional to output. What we take in reveals its magic by allowing it to be witnessed on the exterior. In other words, a healthy lifestyle of exercise, diet and ayurveda proves to be priceless in the long run. So, it is high time we pack up all our synthetic products and turn towards the time-tested methods of gaining radiance back into our livesâ?¦whether it is internal or external. Beauty is not merely skinning deep but allows itself to manifest in the well being of oneâ??s relationship with nature.
